Washington [US], January 19: A judge in Washington state (USA) rejected the petition to remove former President Trump's name from the ballot, while the Democratic Party faced new allegations related to the election.
Reuters reported on January 19 that a judge had just ruled that former US President Donald Trump was eligible to run for the position of Republican representative in Washington state , rejecting the latest attempt to remove his name from the ballot. .

Judge Mary Sue Wilson in Thurston County in Washington state said that this state's election officials acted properly when accepting the candidates proposed by the Republican and Democratic parties, including Mr. Trump.
The 14th Amendment to the US Constitution prohibits people "involved in insurrection" from holding public office. Similar applications have been filed in many states, but so far only Colorado and Maine have removed Mr. Trump's name from the ballot.
The US Supreme Court agreed to consider Mr. Trump's appeal of the Colorado ruling. Mr. Trump also appealed the decision in Maine.
According to CBS Radio, Mr. Trump on January 18 continued to call on the Supreme Court to overturn the Colorado court's decision and wanted the judges to make a "quick and decisive decision" to put his name back on the ballot.

American Bridge group president Pat Denis called No Labels' allegations "frivolous." The MoveOn team has not responded to requests for comment, while Third Way declined to comment. The US Department of Justice has not responded to a request for comment.
